Våmbs IF

Våmbs IF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Våmbs IF, 115 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Våmbs IF could be found in Group 6 together with Stabæk Fotball, Emmaboda IS and Valbo FF. Våmbs IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Vaksala SK with 1-2. In the Final, ASD Femminile Inter Milano won over SK Haugar and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Våmbs IF also participated in Girls 14 during Gothia Cup 2015. They reached the 1/16 Final in G14 Play off A, but lost it against Lidköpings FK with 0-1. Våmbs comes from Skövde which lies approximately 130 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Skövde does also provide 12 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: Tidaholms GIF, Skultorps IF/Våmbs IF, Skultorps IF, Skövde KIK, IFK Falköping FF, Skara FC, Johannesbergs LIF, IFK Skövde, Floby IF and IFK Skövde FK).
