BK Derby

BK Derby was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to BK Derby, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof BK Derby could be found in Group 1 together with SC Victoria, St. Paul Blackhawks 2 and Phoenix Football Academy. BK Derby continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against EFF Abu Dhabi with 0-1. In the Final, Cayyolu FC won over Hong Kong FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. BK Derby also participated in Boys 15 during Gothia Cup 2015. They reached the 1/64 Final in B15 Play off A, but lost it against Oppsal IF 1 with 0-3. Derby comes from Linköping which lies approximately 220 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Linköping does also provide 12 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: Stångebro United, Åtvidabergs FF, Mjölby Södra IF, Tallboda IF, Tallboda IF/Vikingstad, Mjölby AI/FF, Linköping Kenty DFF, BK Ljungsbro, BK Tinnis and AFK Linköping).
