Alta IF

Alta IF was one of 42 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Alta IF, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Alta IF could be found in Group 6 together with Stars'n Stripes, AFK Linköping and Elm Grove Colts. Alta IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Saanich Fusion FC with 0-1. In the Final, Cayyolu FC won over Hong Kong FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Alta comes from Alta which lies approximately 1500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Alta IF, the club Bossekop UL does also originate from the area around Alta.
