Hellerup IK

Hellerup IK was one of 13 clubs from Denmark that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 12. In addition to Hellerup IK, 36 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 12. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof Hellerup IK could be found in Group 3 together with Boo FF, FC Ajax - Tallinn and Näsets SK 1. Hellerup IK continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Boo IS with 0-7. In the Final, Saltsjö-Boo IF won over KFV Segeberg 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 12. Hellerup comes from Hellerup which lies approximately 230 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hellerup does also provide 26 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: LB07, Ballerup-Skovlunde Fodbold, Hyllie IK, Furulunds IK, Råå IF, Lilla Torg FF, Fortuna FF, IF Lödde, IFK Klagshamn and Skanör-Falsterbo IF).
