TSC Wellingsbüttel

TSC Wellingsbüttel was one of 65 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to TSC Wellingsbüttel, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof TSC Wellingsbüttel could be found in Group 31 together with Spårvägens FF, Leiknir and Oppsal IF 1. TSC Wellingsbüttel continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 31. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Hässleholms IF with 0-4. In the Final, Cayyolu FC won over Hong Kong FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. TSC Wellingsbüttel also participated in Boys 15 during Gothia Cup 2015. They reached the 1/32 Final in B15 Play off A, but lost it against First Touch FC with 1-2. TSC Wellingsbüttel comes from Hamburg which lies approximately 470 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hamburg does also provide 14 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: SV Lieth, Walddörfer SV, Rahlstedter, SC, Eimsbütteler TV, KFV Segeberg, Blau-Weiß 96 Schenefeld, SC Nienstedten, SSC Hagen Ahrensburg, USC Paloma Hamburg and SC Victoria).
