Gislaveds IS

Gislaveds IS was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Gislaveds IS, 224 other teams from 35 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 55 different groups, whereof Gislaveds IS could be found in Group 3 together with AFK Linköping Svart, Pequeninos do Jockey and Ingarö IF. Gislaveds IS continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Sandarna BK with 5-6. In the Final, Stångebro United won over Sandarna BK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. Gislaveds IS comes from Gislaved which lies approximately 110 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gislaved does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Dalstorps IF, Tranemo IF and Limmared/Länghem IF/Grimsås).
