Hong Kong FC

Hong Kong FC was one of two clubs from Hong Kong, China that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Hong Kong FC, 186 other teams from 37 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Hong Kong FC could be found in Group 14 together with Sunnersta AIF, Nol IK and SA United SC RIASA. Hong Kong FC made it to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 14. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Cayyolu FC with 1-4. Thereby Hong Kong FC finished second in B16 Play off B during Gothia Cup 2016. Hong Kong FC comes from Hong Kong which lies approximately 8600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Hong Kong FC, the club Sparta Rotterdam FC does also originate from the area around Hong Kong.
