Romfartuna GIF

Romfartuna GIF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Romfartuna GIF, 115 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Romfartuna GIF could be found in Group 20 together with FC Honka, Alnö IF and Skultorps IF. Romfartuna GIF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 20. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Älta IF with 0-1. In the Final, Santa Monica United won over KFV Segeberg and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Romfartuna GIF also participated in Girls 14 during Gothia Cup 2015. They reached the 1/16 Final in G14 Play off A, but lost it against Vikingur with 0-3. Romfartuna GIF comes from Västerås which lies approximately 340 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Västerås does also provide 17 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: BK Sport, Skiljebo SK, Irsta IF, Västerås IK, Forsby FF, Ekeby/Rytterne, Eskilstuna City FK, IF Pluss, Västerås BK30 and IK Franke).
