Katrineholms AIK

Katrineholms AIK was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Katrineholms AIK, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Katrineholms AIK could be found in Group 18 together with Match Fit Academy 1, BSL Bangkok and Mölnlycke IF. Katrineholms AIK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Guernsey Schools with 0-1. In the Final, Cayyolu FC won over Hong Kong FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Katrineholms AIK also participated in Boys 15 during Gothia Cup 2015. They reached the 1/64 Final in B15 Play off A, but lost it against Emmaboda IS with 2-3. Katrineholms AIK comes from Katrineholm which lies approximately 290 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Katrineholm does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Malmköping IF, DFK Värmbol and Blackburn FC).
