FC Honka

FC Honka was one of 12 clubs from Finland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to FC Honka, 115 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof FC Honka could be found in Group 20 together with Romfartuna GIF, Alnö IF and Skultorps IF. FC Honka continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 20. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against SK Haugar with 1-2. In the Final, ASD Femminile Inter Milano won over SK Haugar and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. FC Honka comes from Espoo, Finland which lies approximately 780 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Espoo, Finland does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Tikkurilan Palloseura, Special Olympics Finland, PK-35 and HJK Helsinki).
