Westside Breakers

Westside Breakers was one of 43 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 12. In addition to Westside Breakers, 36 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 12. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof Westside Breakers could be found in Group 9 together with Utbynäs SK, Västerås IK and Åsa IF. Westside Breakers continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against KFV Segeberg 1 with 2-5. In the Final, Saltsjö-Boo IF won over KFV Segeberg 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 12. Westside Breakers comes from Los Angeles which lies approximately 8800 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Los Angeles does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Santa Monica United and Legends FC).
