Winchester City FC

Winchester City FC was one of 30 clubs from England that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Winchester City FC, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Winchester City FC could be found in Group 30 together with IK Franke, IL Jotun and Cumbres San Javier. Winchester City FC continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 30. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Karlbergs BK with 2-3. In the Final, Cayyolu FC won over Hong Kong FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Winchester City FC comes from Winchester which lies approximately 1100 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Winchester does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Charterhouse School, NCF Elites, Ashford Town Youth FC, Doncaster Rovers FC and Arsenal Soccer Schools Hants FC).
