Färjestadens GoIF

Färjestadens GoIF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Färjestadens GoIF, 231 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Färjestadens GoIF could be found in Group 5 together with Ligi Ndogo SC, Walddörfer SV 2 and BK Höllviken Svart. Färjestadens GoIF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against CD Inter Vista Alegre 1 with 0-6. In the Final, Senlis, U.S.M. won over Jordan Knights FA and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. Färjestadens GoIF comes from Färjestaden which lies approximately 300 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Färjestaden does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Lindsdal IF, Madesjö IF, Mörbylånga GoIF, Smedby BoIK, Kalmar FF and IFK Kalmar).
