Ale United

Ale United was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Ale United, 80 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Ale United could be found in Group 2 together with Gimo IF FK, Heffnersklubban BK and St. Paul Blackhawks 2. Ale United continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Älvsjö AIK FF with 0-2. In the Final, Holmalunds IF won over Scandia United SA and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. Ale United also participated in Girls 15 during Gothia Cup 2015. They reached the 1/16 Final in G15 Play off B, but lost it against Hannover, HSC with 0-3. Ale United comes from Nol which lies approximately 19 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Nol does also provide 75 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: Holmalunds IF, FT14, Lindome GIF, Jitex Mölndal BK, Hisingsbacka FC, Älvängens IK, Mossens BK, Dalen/KFF, Örgryte IS and Näsets SK).
