Donsö IS

Donsö IS was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Donsö IS, 98 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof Donsö IS could be found in Group 19 together with CEP Lorient, Skiold, SBK 1 and Club Deportivo Lyon FC. Donsö IS continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Sturehov, IK with 2-5. In the Final, AS Poissy won over Club Paris Mexico and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Donsö IS originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 71 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: FT14, Lindome GIF, Jitex Mölndal BK, Hisingsbacka FC, Mossens BK, Dalen/KFF, Örgryte IS, Näsets SK, Åsa IF and Tölö IF).
