Guldhedens IK

Guldhedens IK was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Guldhedens IK, 98 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof Guldhedens IK could be found in Group 21 together with Lusaka Youth Soccer Accademy, FC Rhenania Immendorf and Sporting Duet FC. Guldhedens IK continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 21. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Jönköpings Södra IF with 1-4. In the Final, BK Häcken won over JFV Hanse Lübeck and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Guldhedens IK also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2015. They reached the 1/32 Final in B18 Play off A, but lost it against BK Forward with 0-4. Guldhedens originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 77 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: FT14, Lindome GIF, Jitex Mölndal BK, Hisingsbacka FC, Älvängens IK, Mossens BK, Dalen/KFF, Örgryte IS, Näsets SK and Åsa IF).
