FJSG Bederkesa

FJSG Bederkesa was one of 65 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to FJSG Bederkesa, 48 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 12 different groups, whereof FJSG Bederkesa could be found in Group 6 together with Fortuna FF/Hittarps IK, Lindome GIF and Typhoon FC. FJSG Bederkesa continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against IK Zenith with 1-3. In the Final, LB07 won over IK Zenith and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 18. FJSG Bederkesa also participated in Girls 18 during Gothia Cup 2015. They reached the Semi final in G18 Play off B, but lost it against FC Connecticut with 0-4. FJSG Bederkesa comes from Geestland which lies approximately 500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than FJSG Bederkesa, the club TSV Abbehausen does also originate from the area around Geestland.
