Henåns IF

Henåns IF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Henåns IF, 80 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Henåns IF could be found in Group 3 together with Bossekop UL, Markham School and Älvsjö AIK FF. Henåns IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Bagarmossen Kärrtorp BK with 0-2. In the Final, Tromsø IL won over Norrstrands IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Henåns IF also participated in Girls 15 during Gothia Cup 2015. They reached the 1/8 Final in G15 Play off B, but lost it against Hannover, HSC with 0-3. Henåns comes from Henån which lies approximately 57 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Henån does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: Kungshamns IF, Romelanda UF, Stenungsunds IF, Vallens IF, Stala IF, Skoftebyns IF, Orust Fotboll, Orust GHMMS, IK Oddevold and Vänersborgs FK).
