SG97

SG97 was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to SG97, 194 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof SG97 could be found in Group 18 together with Makati FC 2, Funbo IF and Prep School Pumas 2. SG97 continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against CEF 18 Tucuman 2 with 2-3. In the Final, JSSL Arsenal Singapore won over Barkarö SK 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. SG97 originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around göteborg does also provide 76 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: FT14, Lindome GIF, Jitex Mölndal BK, Hisingsbacka FC, Älvängens IK, Mossens BK, Dalen/KFF, Örgryte IS, Näsets SK and Åsa IF).
