Bollnäs GIF

Bollnäs GIF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Bollnäs GIF, 80 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Bollnäs GIF could be found in Group 9 together with Bele Barkarby IF, Holmalunds IF and REV SC. Bollnäs GIF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Rynninge/Hovsta with 4-5. In the Final, Tromsø IL won over Norrstrands IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Bollnäs GIF comes from BOLLNÄS which lies approximately 470 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around BOLLNÄS does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Söderhamns FF and Arbrå BK).
