Strands IF

Strands IF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Strands IF, 224 other teams from 35 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 55 different groups, whereof Strands IF could be found in Group 35 together with FBK Karlstad, JSSL Arsenal Singapore and Lira BK. Strands IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 35. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against SK Djerv 1919 with 0-2. In the Final, Stångebro United won over Sandarna BK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. Strands comes from Hudiksvall which lies approximately 530 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Strands IF, the club Team Hudik/Näsviken does also originate from the area around Hudiksvall.
