Sunnersta AIF

Sunnersta AIF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Sunnersta AIF, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Sunnersta AIF could be found in Group 14 together with Hong Kong FC, Nol IK and SA United SC RIASA. Sunnersta AIF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 14. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against VfL Westercelle with 0-2. In the Final, Las Vegas Sports Academy won over ED Moratalaz and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Sunnersta AIF comes from Uppsala which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Uppsala does also provide 15 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: Storvreta IK, Gamla Upsala SK, Vaksala SK, Alsike IF, IK Sirius FK, Kungsängens IF, IFK Uppsala, Upsala IF, Märsta IK and Funbo IF).
