SV Blankenese

SV Blankenese was one of 67 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to SV Blankenese, 187 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof SV Blankenese could be found in Group 34 together with FC Golden State, Nosaby IF and Töreboda IK. SV Blankenese continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 34. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Dundalk Schoolboys League with 0-3. In the Final, IFK Göteborg won over Dundalk Schoolboys League and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Blankenese comes from Hamburg which lies approximately 480 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hamburg does also provide 20 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2015 (Among others: FC Süderelbe, Walddörfer SV, TSV Sasel, SG Lieth Holsatia, Eintracht Lokstedt, SV Bergstedt, TSC Wellingsbüttel, SV Uhlenhorst-Adler, FC Este 2012 and Blau-Weiß 96 Schenefeld).
