Ängby IF

Ängby IF was one of 452 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Ängby IF, 69 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 17 different groups, whereof Ängby IF could be found in Group 9 together with IK Grand Bodø, Torslanda IK and ASL SC. Ängby IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against REV SC White with 1-2. In the Final, LB07 won over BK Höllviken and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. Ängby IF also participated in Girls 15 during Gothia Cup 2014. They reached the 1/16 Final in G15 Play off A, but lost it against LB07 with 1-2. Ängby comes from Stockholm which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stockholm does also provide 64 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2015 (Among others: Djurgårdens DFF, Hammarby IF, Bollstanäs SK, Ingarö IF, Bällsta FF, Stuvsta IF, Järna SK, Håbo FF, Hammarby IF DFF and Enebybergs IF).
