Žalgirietis

Žalgirietis was one of three clubs from Lithuania that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Žalgirietis, 214 other teams from 37 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 53 different groups, whereof Žalgirietis could be found in Group 22 together with Atlas-Longlived, Bollstanäs SK 2 and IFK Timrå. Žalgirietis continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 22. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Mölndal Fotboll with 0-1. In the Final, Dallas Texans won over Angered FC and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. Žalgirietis comes from Vilnius which lies approximately 890 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Žalgirietis, the club SFK Rotalis does also originate from the area around Vilnius.
