Roanoke Star

Roanoke Star was one of 43 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Roanoke Star, 187 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Roanoke Star could be found in Group 19 together with Nõmme United FC, Azalea BK and Hampton School FC. Roanoke Star continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Monte Libano with 0-4. In the Final, IFK Göteborg won over Dundalk Schoolboys League and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Roanoke Star comes from Tingvej 151 which lies approximately 8000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Tingvej 151 does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2015 (Bergens Best SC, Texas Spirit SC, Lake Norman Eclipse, United Soccer Club, SA United SC, St. Paul Blackhawks, Kalispell Soccer Club and Boulder, F.C.).
