Snaefellsbaer

Snaefellsbaer was one of 7 clubs from Iceland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Snaefellsbaer, 109 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Snaefellsbaer could be found in Group 22 together with Lyn Fotball, Tyresö FF 1 and Backatorp IF. Snaefellsbaer continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 22. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Djurgårdens DFF with 0-5. In the Final, KFV Segeberg won over IF Brommapojkarna and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 14. Snaefellsbaer comes from Skutuvogur 13 A which lies approximately 1900 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Skutuvogur 13 A does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2015 (FH, Vikingur, Stjarnan, Volsungur, KA and Tindastoll).
