Rapid Athene

Rapid Athene was one of 42 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Rapid Athene, 61 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 15 different groups, whereof Rapid Athene could be found in Group 9 together with Umeå IK FF, Älvsborg FF, F.C. Beirut and Real Sociedad Cuauhtemoc. Rapid Athene continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against TSV SÜDERBRARUP with 4-5. In the Final, FC Connecticut won over Södra Härene IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Rapid Athene comes from Moss which lies approximately 200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Moss does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2015 (Follo FK, Askim FK, SK Sprint-Jeløy and Trosvik IF).
