Ekerö IK

Ekerö IK was one of 452 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Ekerö IK, 196 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Ekerö IK could be found in Group 20 together with IF Elfsborg, South Central FC 4 and FC Connecticut Red. Ekerö IK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 20. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Athletico SC 2 with 1-3. In the Final, BK Olympic Vit won over Athletico SC 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Ekerö comes from Ekerö which lies approximately 380 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Ekerö does also provide 64 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2015 (Among others: Djurgårdens DFF, Hammarby IF, Bollstanäs SK, Ingarö IF, Bällsta FF, Stuvsta IF, Järna SK, Håbo FF, Hammarby IF DFF and Enebybergs IF).
