VJS

VJS was one of 14 clubs from Finland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to VJS, 69 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 17 different groups, whereof VJS could be found in Group 12 together with Helsingborgs AIS, Knivsta IK and Volsungur. VJS continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IK Arvika Fotboll 2 with 3-5. In the Final, IK Grand Bodø won over IFK Nyköping and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. VJS comes from Vantaa which lies approximately 790 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vantaa does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2015 (HooGee, HooGee/EsPa YJ, FC Honka, HJK Helsinki and Nummelan Palloseura).
