IFK Kalmar

IFK Kalmar was one of 452 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to IFK Kalmar, 109 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof IFK Kalmar could be found in Group 23 together with Jitex Mölndal BK, Sandvikens IF 1, BV Werther and Staffanstorps GIF. IFK Kalmar continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 23. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against IFK Umeå with 0-2. In the Final, IFK Umeå won over FC Hessleholm and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. IFK Kalmar comes from Kalmar which lies approximately 280 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kalmar does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2015 (Ljungbyholms GOIF, Torsås GoIF, Färjestadens GoIF, Möre BK, Persnäs/Böda-Högby, Kalmar FF, Timmernabbens IF and Mörbylånga GoIF).
