Södra Härene IF

Södra Härene IF was one of 452 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Södra Härene IF, 61 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 15 different groups, whereof Södra Härene IF could be found in Group 10 together with Liceo Parroquial San Antonio, HooGee and LSK kvinner FK. Södra Härene IF made it to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 10. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against FC Connecticut with 0-4. Thereby Södra Härene IF finished second in G18 Play off B during Gothia Cup 2015. Södra Härene comes from Vårgårda which lies approximately 61 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vårgårda does also provide 15 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2015 (Among others: Holmalunds IF, Sjömarkens IF, IF Elfsborg, Gerdskens BK, Norrby IF, Lödöse Nygård IK, Alingsås IF, Borås AIK, Byttorps IF and SK Mjörn).
