Sjömarkens IF

Sjömarkens IF was one of 452 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Girls 12. In addition to Sjömarkens IF, 44 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 12. They were divided into 11 different groups, whereof Sjömarkens IF could be found in Group 1 together with Landvetter IF, Boroughmuir Thistle FC 1 and Torna Hällestad IF. Sjömarkens IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against JSSL Arsenal Singapore with 1-3. In the Final, Hainan Qiongzhong won over AIK FF F03 Akademi and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 12. Sjömarkens comes from Sjömarken which lies approximately 52 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sjömarken does also provide 25 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2015 (Among others: Holmalunds IF, Landvetter IF, IFK Örby, Skene IF, Lerums IS, Landvetter IS, IF Elfsborg, Gerdskens BK, Norrby IF and Alingsås IF).
