IFK Nyköping

IFK Nyköping was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to IFK Nyköping, 83 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof IFK Nyköping could be found in Group 19 together with Texas Spirit SC, Växjö DFF 2 and Kungsbacka DFF. IFK Nyköping continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Växjö DFF 1 with 4-5. In the Final, Vaksala SK won over Göteborgs DFF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 17. IFK Nyköping comes from Nyköping which lies approximately 320 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Nyköping does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Nyköpings BIS and Trosa-Vagnhärad SK).
