AFK Linköping

AFK Linköping was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to AFK Linköping, 115 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof AFK Linköping could be found in Group 1 together with Örgryte IS, Kampala Junior Team and RS Magny. AFK Linköping continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against F.C. Beirut 2 with 1-2. In the Final, Kinetic Academy 1 won over F.C. Beirut 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. AFK Linköping comes from Linköping which lies approximately 220 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Linköping does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (BK Derby, Linköpings FF, Mjölby Södra IF, Borensbergs IF/FK, ÖV United, Åtvidabergs FF, Mjölby AI/FF, Borens IK, FC Linköping City and Linköpings FC).
