Ras Beirut Academy

Ras Beirut Academy was one of 7 clubs from Lebanon that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Ras Beirut Academy, 209 other teams from 26 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 52 different groups, whereof Ras Beirut Academy could be found in Group 20 together with Eskilstuna City FK, Munksund/Skuthamn SK and Värmdö IF. Ras Beirut Academy continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 20. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Gunnilse IS with 1-4. In the Final, Landvetter IS won over Leiknir and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Ras Beirut Academy comes from Beirut which lies approximately 3200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Beirut does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Beirut FAC, FAME, City Sport, F.C. Beirut, Cubs Football Academy and Tyre FA).
