IK Wormo

IK Wormo was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to IK Wormo, 83 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof IK Wormo could be found in Group 16 together with IBV 2, Qviding FIF and Varhaug. IK Wormo continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IF Brommapojkarna with 1-3. In the Final, Vaksala SK won over Göteborgs DFF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 17. Wormo comes from Landskrona which lies approximately 220 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Landskrona does also provide 29 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Among others: LB07, Torns IF, Uppåkra IF, Staffanstorps GIF, Hittarps IK, Eskilsminne IF, Ljungbyheds IF, Glumslövs FF, IF Lödde and Billesholms GIF).
