Årdal Fotballklubb

Årdal Fotballklubb was one of 51 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Årdal Fotballklubb, 115 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Årdal Fotballklubb could be found in Group 10 together with FC Neumünster Zürich, BK Utsiktens and Club Municipal de Casablanca. Årdal Fotballklubb continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against SK Vard Haugesund with 0-2. In the Final, BK Häcken won over Lärje Angered IF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Årdal comes from Øvre Årdal which lies approximately 460 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Årdal Fotballklubb, the club IL Jotun does also originate from the area around Øvre Årdal.
