Ope IF

Ope IF was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to Ope IF, 83 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Ope IF could be found in Group 13 together with FK Fjellhamar, TSV Altenholz and Töreboda IK. Ope IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 13. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Göteborgs DFF with 0-5. In the Final, Vaksala SK won over Göteborgs DFF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 17. Ope comes from Östersund which lies approximately 630 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Östersund does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Alsen IF and IFK Östersund).
