Snaefellsbaer

Snaefellsbaer was one of 11 clubs from Iceland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Snaefellsbaer, 209 other teams from 26 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 52 different groups, whereof Snaefellsbaer could be found in Group 37 together with Sundbybergs IK, BK Häcken 1 and Austin Lonestars. Snaefellsbaer continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 37. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Landvetter IS with 1-3. In the Final, Landvetter IS won over Leiknir and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Snaefellsbaer comes from Skutuvogur 13 A which lies approximately 1900 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Skutuvogur 13 A does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (FH, Leiknir, IR, IBV, Stjarnan, HK, Valur, Breidablik, Selfoss and ÖSP/NES).
