Åre SLK

Åre SLK was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Åre SLK, 93 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 23 different groups, whereof Åre SLK could be found in Group 6 together with Tyresö FF 1, IFK Västerås FK and Scandia United SA. Åre SLK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Storvreta IK with 0-2. In the Final, Järla IF won over Scandia United SA and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. Åre SLK comes from Åre which lies approximately 630 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Åre SLK, the club Järpens IF does also originate from the area around Åre.
