Vadstena GIF

Vadstena GIF was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 19. In addition to Vadstena GIF, 28 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 19. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Vadstena GIF could be found in Group 3 together with FC Flora, Färjestadens GoIF and IFK Osby. Vadstena GIF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Jitex BK with 1-4. In the Final, Jitex BK won over IK Grand Bodø and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 19. Vadstena GIF comes from Vadstena which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vadstena does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Mjölby Södra IF, Borensbergs IF/FK, Mjölby AI/FF, Borens IK and FC Linköping City).
