Borgeby FK

Borgeby FK was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Borgeby FK, 124 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof Borgeby FK could be found in Group 28 together with Frederiksværk BK, IFK Kalmar and Järla IF. Borgeby FK continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 28. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Hammarby IF DFF 1 with 0-6. In the Final, LB07 won over Eskilstuna United DFF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Borgeby FK also participated in Girls 14 during Gothia Cup 2013. They reached the 1/16 Final in G14 Play off A, but lost it against Ottawa Internationals with 3-4. Borgeby FK comes from Bjärred which lies approximately 230 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bjärred does also provide 32 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Among others: LB07, Torns IF, Skanör-Falsterbo IF, Uppåkra IF, Genarps IF/Dalby GIF, IFK Klagshamn, Staffanstorps GIF, Eskilsminne IF, Glumslövs FF and IF Lödde).
