Irsta IF was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 12. In addition to Irsta IF, 42 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 12. They were divided into 10 different groups, whereof Irsta IF could be found in Group 10 together with Azalea BK, Vejby IF and Onsala BK. Irsta IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against KFV Segeberg 2 with 1-2. In the Final, AIK FF won over JSSL Arsenal Singapore and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 12. Irsta comes from Västerås which lies approximately 340 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Västerås does also provide 20 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Among others: Västerås SK Ungdom, Eskilstuna City FK, Västerås IK, Fanna BK, Hällbybrunns IF, Ekeby BK, Dingtuna GIF, Skiljebo SK, IK Viljan and IFK Eskilstuna).
