Årsunda IF

Årsunda IF was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Årsunda IF, 207 other teams from 37 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 52 different groups, whereof Årsunda IF could be found in Group 10 together with Freie Turnerschaft Braunschweig, Västerås BK30 1 and Eger Sportcentrum SE. Årsunda IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Colegio São João de Brito 1 with 4-6. In the Final, J-L Juniors won over TSV Havelse and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. Årsunda IF also participated in Boys 14 during Gothia Cup 2013. They reached the 1/16 Final in B14 Play off B, but lost it against Hermandad Gallega de Venezuela with 0-2. Årsunda comes from ^Årsunda which lies approximately 410 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around ^Årsunda does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Sandvikens IF, Sandvikens AIK, Gefle IF, Torsåkers IF, Högbo AIK, Valbo FF and Hagaströms SK).
