Romfartuna GIF

Romfartuna GIF was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Romfartuna GIF, 115 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Romfartuna GIF could be found in Group 22 together with First Mobile Sports Academy, KF Besa-Peja and Berkshire College of Agriculture 1. Romfartuna GIF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 22. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Olympic, BK with 1-2. In the Final, Kinetic Academy 1 won over F.C. Beirut 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Romfartuna GIF comes from Västerås which lies approximately 340 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Västerås does also provide 20 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Among others: Forsby FF, Västerås SK Ungdom, Eskilstuna City FK, Västerås IK, Fanna BK, Hällbybrunns IF, Ekeby BK, Dingtuna GIF, Skiljebo SK and IFK Eskilstuna).
