Garrincha Academy

Garrincha Academy was one of five clubs from Canada that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 12. In addition to Garrincha Academy, 42 other teams from 7 different countries played in Girls 12. They were divided into 10 different groups, whereof Garrincha Academy could be found in Group 5 together with Sävedalens IF, Boo FF 2, Lekstorps IF and Floda BoIF. Garrincha Academy continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against JSSL Arsenal Singapore with 0-4. In the Final, AIK FF won over JSSL Arsenal Singapore and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 12. Garrincha Academy comes from London which lies approximately 6300 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
