Gimse IL

Gimse IL was one of 51 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 19. In addition to Gimse IL, 28 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 19. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Gimse IL could be found in Group 7 together with ATSV Scharmbeckstotel, Ljungby IF and Näsets SK. Gimse IL continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Jitex BK with 1-3. In the Final, Jitex BK won over IK Grand Bodø and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 19. Gimse comes from Melhus which lies approximately 620 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Melhus does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (IL LEIK and IL Vestbyen).
