Madesjö IF

Madesjö IF was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Madesjö IF, 93 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 23 different groups, whereof Madesjö IF could be found in Group 22 together with IFK Örby /Kinna IF, Tölö FF, Nykvarns SK and Darien FC. Madesjö IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 22. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Kiruna FF with 7-8. In the Final, AIK FF won over KFV Segeberg and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 14. Madesjö comes from Nybro which lies approximately 260 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Nybro does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Team Södermöre, Möre BK, Emmaboda IS, Mörbylånga GoIF, IFK Kalmar, Lessebo GoIF and Färjestadens GoIF).
