Mönsterås GoIF

Mönsterås GoIF was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Mönsterås GoIF, 209 other teams from 26 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 52 different groups, whereof Mönsterås GoIF could be found in Group 8 together with Högs SK, CD Inter Vista Alegre 1 and Mörbylånga GoIF. Mönsterås GoIF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Högbo AIK with 1-2. In the Final, Landvetter IS won over Leiknir and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Mönsterås GoIF comes from Mönsterås which lies approximately 280 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Mönsterås does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Timmernabbens IF, Rödsle BK and Högsby IK).
